Kagome Higurashi, an average ninth grader, gets pulled into an ancient well by a demon, bringing her 500 years in the past to the feudal era. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who.
The second season of the anime series Inuyasha aired in Japan on Animax from May 28, 2001, through December 10, 2001. Based on the manga series of the same title by Rumiko Takahashi, the anime was produced by Sunrise. The series continues a half demon Inuyasha's and a high school girl Kagome Higurashi's journey, alongside their friends Shippo, Miroku and Sango to obtain the fragments of the shattered Jewel of Four Souls, a powerful jewel that had been hidden inside Kagome's body, and keep the shards from being used for evil.
The anime is licensed for release in North America by Viz Media. The English dub of the first season was broadcast on Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim programming block from January 22, 2003, through May 1, 2004
The opening themes for this season were 'Change the World by V6 for episodes 28-34, and 'I Am' by hitomi for episodes 35-54. The ending themes were 'Fukai Mori' (深い森, 'Deep Forest') by Do As Infinity for episodes 28-41 and 'Dearest' by Ayumi Hamasaki for episodes 42-54.

Hoping to find a way to wield the Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha goes to Totosai, who instructs him to slay Ryukotsusei, a dragon daiyōkai who was sealed into a dormant sleep with one of the claws of Inuyasha's father, Inu no Taisho. Achieving this task will therefore gain Inuyasha the strength required to lift his reforged sword. This backfires when Naraku comes to awaken the dragon. Inuyasha is unable to fight as Ryukotsusei repeatedly attacks with the Thunder Attack Bullet, the huge pure white energy orbs that are launched out of his mouth. | |||||

He urges not only to battle against Ryukotsusei, but also against his yōkai state, regaining his ability to wield the Tetsusaiga. After Inuyasha attempts to attack Ryukotsusei with the Wind Scar, but to no avail. He is then able to master the Backlash Wave, an attack unleashed to engulf the attack of the enemy in a whirlpool and reflect it back with the added power and energy of the Wind Scar, in order to defeat Ryukotsusei. |

The episodes of the Japanese anime series Inuyasha are based on the first 36 volumes of the manga series of the same title by Rumiko Takahashi.[1] The series follows half-demonInuyasha and a high school girl Kagome Higurashi on a journey, alongside their friends, a young fox demon, Shippo; a lecherous monk, Miroku; a demon slayer, Sango; and a demon cat, Kilala, to obtain the fragments of the shattered Jewel of Four Souls, a powerful jewel that had been hidden inside Kagome's body, and keep the shards from being used for evil, including by the half-demon Naraku.
Produced by Sunrise, the series premiered in Japan on Animax on October 16, 2000 and ran for 167 episodes until its conclusion on September 13, 2004. It also aired on Animax's English-language networks in South Asia and East Asia and it was broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television. The English dub of the series aired on Cartoon Network's programming block, Adult Swim, from August 31, 2002 through October 27, 2006. In Canada, the series aired on YTV.
A second anime series, Inuyasha: The Final Act, premiered on October 3, 2009 and covers the final volumes of the manga series.[2][3][4]
